Ir. Ts. Dr. Tham is an Adjunct Professor at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) whose work focuses on deep learning and reinforcement learning. He has led numerous research and development projects, secured international research grants, and published widely in high-impact IEEE journals and flagship IEEE conferences. His achievements have been recognised with the IEEE Malaysia COMSOC/VTS Joint Chapter Best Paper Award 2025, the IEEE IEACon 2025 Best Paper Award, the UTAR Research Excellence Award 2024, and the ASEAN IVO Certificate of Excellence 2023. He is also a Professional Engineer (Electronic) and a Professional Technologist (Electronic).
