RM3m UTAR Fund-Raising Target Set For Selangor MCA

The Selangor MCA has set a target for its 17 divisions to raise RM3mil, within six months for the Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) fund.

Its chairman Datuk Seri Ong Ka Ting hoped the division chiefs would give their full support to the fund-raising for the sake of setting up a university aimed at providing affordable higher education to the masses.

He said the division chiefs were free to choose their mode of fundraising, be it through dinner gatherings, organizing film premieres or holding stage shows, as long as the activities encouraged the people to donate and did not involve coercion of any kind.
