The present UTAR premises at the former office of The Star in Section 13 is slowly getting overcrowded with the number of students applying during each new intake.

Dato' Seri Dr Ling said that as such, there was a need to shift to bigger premises as it could no longer accommodate the coming batches of students.

He added that construction work on the campus in Kampar will start in September and once completed it will provide a conducive study environment for the students.
