UTAR's aim to provide affordable higher education of quality, especially for deserving students from poor qualities, garnered support from donors of all races and economic standing, noted Datuk Seri Ong Ka Ting, state MCA Chairman and MCA Vice-President, at a fund-raising dinner organized by the Selangor MCA.

Datuk Seri Ong said that he was happy and proud to see non-Chinese donors contributing to UTAR and that the spirit of inter-racial sharing augured well for a multiracial country like Malaysia.
