Singing duo achieve quest of making Malaysians proud

Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman's mass communications students, Goh Kok Hooi and another Malaysian, who were winners of the Astro Talent Quest 2004, did Malaysians proud by beating 16 other competitors from countries such as Hong Kong, the United States, New Zealand, Australia, Britain and the Netherlands, at the International Chinese New Talent Singing Championship 2004 in Hong Kong.

The first runner-up of the competition, Goh, 22, said that it did not matter who was the better singer of the two as long as they could beat the other competitors.

"We had worked hard as a team and all we wanted was to give our best in the competition and not let Malaysians down, the Penang-born Goh said after they arrived at the KL International Airport on last Saturday night."
