BACHELOR OF COMPUTER SCIENCE (HONOURS)

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE (HONOURS) SOFTWARE ENGINEERING

STPM Science Stream with 2 Grade C in 1 Mathematics subject and 1 Science/ICT subject

OR

STPM with minimum 2 Grade C AND a credit in:

a) Additional Mathematics at SPM level or equivalent, OR

b) Mathematics and any one of the Science, Technology or Engineering subjects at SPM level or equivalent*

*For category (b), candidates must take and pass Mathematics Enhancement Course (MEC) as a pre-requisite before they could proceed to take related core courses in this programme.

OR

STAM with a minimum grade of Jayyid in any 2 subjects AND a credit in:

a) Additional Mathematics at SPM level or equivalent, OR

b) Mathematics and any one of the Science, Technology or Engineering subjects at SPM level or equivalent*

*For category (b), candidates must take and pass Mathematics Enhancement Course (MEC) as a pre-requisite before they could proceed to take related core courses in this programme.

OR

A-Level with 2 Grade D in 1 Mathematics subject and 1 Science/ICT subject

OR

A-Level with 2 Grade D AND a credit in:

a) Additional Mathematics at SPM level or equivalent, OR

b) Mathematics and any one of the Science, Technology or Engineering subjects at SPM level or equivalent*

*For category (b), candidates must take and pass Mathematics Enhancement Course (MEC) as a pre-requisite before they could proceed to take related core courses in this programme.

OR

Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with Grade B in 5 subjects including 1 Mathematics subject and 1 Science/ICT subject

OR

UEC with Grade B in 5 subjects AND a credit in:

a) Additional Mathematics at SPM level or equivalent, OR

b) Mathematics and any one of the Science, Technology or Engineering subjects at SPM level or equivalent*

*For category (b), candidates must take and pass Mathematics Enhancement Course (MEC) as a pre-requisite before they could proceed to take related core courses in this programme.

OR

South Australian Matriculation (SAM) with Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) 70 and Grade B in 1 Mathematics and 1 Science/ICT subject

OR

SAM with Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) 70 and Grade B in 2 subjects AND a credit in:

a) Additional Mathematics at SPM level or equivalent, OR

b) Mathematics and any one of the Science, Technology or Engineering subjects at SPM level or equivalent*

*For category (b), candidates must take and pass Mathematics Enhancement Course (MEC) as a pre-requisite before they could proceed to take related core courses in this programme.

OR

Canadian Pre-University (CPU) with an average of 70% in 1 Mathematics and 1 Science/ICT subject (and 4 other subjects)

OR

CPU with an average of 70% in 2 relevant subjects (and 4 other subjects) AND a credit in:

a) Additional Mathematics at SPM level or equivalent, OR

b) Mathematics and any one of the Science, Technology or Engineering subjects at SPM level or equivalent*

*For category (b), candidates must take and pass Mathematics Enhancement Course (MEC) as a pre-requisite before they could proceed to take related core courses in this programme.

OR

Diploma in Computing (Level 4, MQF) / equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.50

Note: Candidates with CGPA below 2.50 but above 2.00 may be admitted subject to a thorough internal evaluation process.

OR

Any Diploma in Science and Technology (Level 4, MQF) with a minimum CGPA of 2.75

Note: Candidates with CGPA below 2.75 but above 2.00 may be admitted subject to a thorough internal evaluation process.

OR

The TVET diplomas such as Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM) / Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) / Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM)

1. The DKM/DLKM/DVM must be fully accredited by MQA

2. DKM/DLKM/DVM in Computing fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 subjected to Senate / Academic Board’s approval.

3. Students will be required to pass the admission screening process conducted by the faculty and undergo the Bridging programme, if necessary, during the period of their study in addition to the existing curriculum structure

4. Credit transfer can be considered on a case-to-case basis and subject to existing credit transfer policies which are in effect

Note: Candidates with CGPA below 2.50 but above 2.00 may be admitted subject to a thorough internal evaluation process.

OR

Foundation in Arts / Foundation in Science, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and a credit in SPM Mathematics / equivalent

EITHER One (1) of the following:

a) Pass in Mathematics subject equivalent to SPM Additional Mathematics in the Foundation/Matriculation or other equivalent qualification, OR

b) A credit in Additional Mathematics at SPM level or equivalent, OR

c) A credit in Mathematics and any one of the Science, Technology or Engineering subjects at SPM level or equivalent*

*For category (c), candidates must take and pass Mathematics Enhancement Course (MEC) as a pre-requisite before they could proceed to take related core courses in this programme.

OR

Matriculation / Foundation from other Institutions of Higher Learning AND

EITHER One (1) of the following:

a) Pass in Mathematics subject equivalent to SPM Additional Mathematics in the Foundation/Matriculation or other equivalent qualification, OR

b) A credit in Additional Mathematics at SPM level or equivalent, OR

c) A credit in Mathematics and any one of the Science, Technology or Engineering subjects at SPM level or equivalent*

OR

Other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government AND

EITHER One (1) of the following:
