Air Kuning – recycle for charity
Thirty WCWA volunteers helped in recycling unwanted items of the residents in Air Kuning New Vallege on 9 June 2012.
Divided into 10 groups and accompanied by some villagers, the students equipped with gloves and plastic bags were charged to collect as many as possible from door to door recyclable items of paper, plastic, metal and glass. They also cleaned up the rubbish along the way.
At about noon, they loaded their ‘harvest’ onto a collector’s truck. The sales proceeds from the collector were donated to charity.
