A group of alumni seized the opportunity to celebrate the Mid-Autumn or Mooncake Festival to meet and to get to know alumni from other faculties and courses.

Capitalising on the festive mood, they got together on 20 September 2008 at Block PD, Petaling Jaya campus and had some fun and camaraderie. As a was a potluck, each one came with some food, snacks, drinks and items for the party, and, of course, the mandatory mooncakes.

The event was organized by the Pro Tem Committee of the UTAR Alumni Association with the assistance of the Department of Alumni Relations and Placement.

The Pro Tem President Wong Jun Chong and Secretary Esther Teh both agreed that the gathering was a good start for more things to come. Before departing, many of those who attended stayed back to discuss plans for more activities for the alumni.
