STUDENTS GO JOB-HUNTING AT UTAR CAREER DAYS
There was overwhelming response from students at the Career Days held at two faculties in November 2008. A total of 32 companies and organisations took part.
Organised by the Department of Alumni Relations & Placement (DARP) in collaboration with the Faculty's Career Development Society, this was yet another of the university's efforts to enhance students' employability and career development.
The representatives of many of the participating companies were pleased with the response from students.
Professional bodies such as the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) also participated to enable the students to know more about professional qualifications.
The participating companies conducted job interviews. Career talks, which attracted a large number of students, were conducted by invited speakers. The topics were aimed at providing information about career opportunities and how to prepare for the job market.
