ENRICHMENT PROGRAMME

Financial Sector Talent Enrichment Programme (FSTEP) is a Bank Negara initiative in collaboration with the financial service industry that provides a full time intensive 1-year training for graduates from any discipline from local and foreign institutions of higher learning.

FSTEP programme includes simulations, workshop and case studies as well as on-the-job training/exposure through internship with financial institutions. The programme mainly focuses on practical and operational aspects of financial services industry and consists of two phases. Phase One is the introduction to the Malaysian Financial system which comprises courses like Conventional Banking, Investment Banking, Insurance & Takaful and Islamic Banking with 6 months in-house training. In Phase Two, students will undergo a 6 month of internship with financial institutions.

To be eligible for FSTEP, applicants must be a Malaysian citizen aged below 30 with a minimum of a recognized degree qualification (CGPA 3.25 and above). The applicants must possess a high level of English proficiency. FSTEP will offer wide range of benefits such as monthly scholarship allowance of RM2,200.00, basic medical and insurance coverage, industry training and exposure and successful participants will be placed into the financial services industry.

FSTEP has 2 intakes per year, early July and December. FSTEP is a full-time intensive programme which will be conducted at Level 1, Dataran Kewangan Darul Takaful, Jalan Sultan Sulaiman, 50000 Kuala Lumpur.
