The one-year postgraduate study at University of Nottingham, Ningbo (UNNC) , China sponsored by UTAR was a rewarding experience.

Throughout my stay at this leading university, I had lots of fun and a challenging experience. I acquired new perspectives as well as invaluable life skills, as I became more independent with greater maturity and confidence while studying in a new environment. Besides that, I also ventured into exciting new areas in my studies. As an accounting graduate, my choice of pursuing a Master of Arts Degree in International Management was to complement my abilities in accounting with management knowledge. It has further equipped me with the all-round skills and competence to play an active role in society.

China is the world's most populous nation with the oldest continuous civilisation. Studying in this emerging economic giant has indeed provided me a lot of opportunities to sharpen my international and cross-cultural awareness. Not only did I have the chance to learn about ancient Chinese culture and traditions, but I was also able to meet a diverse group of students and to create an international network of friends from England, Russia, India, Japan, Hong Kong, Vietnam and Thailand. This certainly broadened my global outlook.

Furthermore, I enjoyed the wonderful travel opportunities in China. I got to visit interesting places like Shanghai, Hangzhou, Suzhou that are located in the Yangtze River Delta. On top of that, the one-month summer programme (dissertation workshop) organised by the University at Nottingham, UK further added value to my horizons as it had truly internationalised my learning experience.

Last but not least, I am indeed grateful to UTAR for giving me this golden opportunity to fulfil my dream in pursuing a master's degree. The exposure and knowledge that I had obtained are priceless as they enhanced my personal growth. I truly appreciate the opportunity given to me. Thank you, UTAR!
