I: What motivates you to study in UTAR?

KL: I have two elder sisters who graduated from UTAR. They were my inspiration to join UTAR especially my second sister. Besides, the course fee is reasonable and affordable.

I: Did you mean that your sisters influenced you the most in making your decision to join UTAR?

KL: Yes. Actually, my father did influence me in choosing this university as well. I remembered he mentioned about the affordability of fees and since both of my sisters were studying in UTAR and performed well in the varsity, he would like me to study in the same university. Moreover, the PTPTN loan helps to lessen my father's burden.

I: What course are you taking in UTAR? What do you think of this course?

KL: Currently, I am studying Mechatronics Engineering course in UTAR. This is an interesting course and it suits me well. For me, it is a brand new challenge. By the way, I would prefer if this course could offer more minor projects. I believe their through more practice, we would gain more experience for our careers.

I: So far, what did you learn while studying in UTAR besides academic knowledge?

KL: I am from Seremban but my campus is at Setapak, KL. So, I have to stay at Setapak during the semester and learn how to be independent. Besides, I also learned how to interact with people. I took part in some activities held in UTAR and became the Ice Breaking Committee and City Tour Coordinator during Orientation I enjoy myself very much in contributing to these activities. I've learnt how to manage an event and it suits my outgoing personality indeed.

I: Would you encourage your siblings to join UTAR? Why?

KL: I do not have siblings around my age group but I will encourage them to go for UTAR if they do ask for my recommendation. As I've mentioned before, the fees are affordable and loans are provided too.
