It seems like a short while ago when I graduated, in fact, it has been a year. My future was uncertain at that point while I scared page after page of the newspaper job. Determination and courage were important, especially when comments flooded in during the interviews seized the opportunity I was offered employment as a translator for an online games company.

My work responsibility is to translate code switches from mandarin to English and vice versa. Mt degree in English Language gave me a good foundation in linguistics. This foundation granted me a passport to my current employment. Although I have gained valuable knowledge during my studies, there are still tons of new things that coming along my way and all I am eager to face the challenge.

There is no longer problem-end-as-class-ends while we climbing the corporate ladder. Things get out of hand sometimes and we have to be ready to handle the problem and get to the bottom of it. And, only with gumption you can make a success of yourself. Since this is my first year in the company, I am looking for every opportunity to improve.

My advice to all UTARIANS out there is to move on and paint your own dream. Never look back but move forward.
