UTAR's Undergraduates Passed Financial Planning Courses

UTAR proudly acknowledges the achievements of the following Actuarial Science Degree Undergraduates who recently passed Modules of the Registered Financial Planner (RFP) examinations. The RFP designation, comprising 7 modules, is conferred by the Malaysian Financial Planning Council (MFPC) and is recognized by Bank Negara Malaysia and Securities Commission as one of the base requirements to obtain a Financial Advisor or Financial Planner license. In addition, Module 1 & 2 (either by attendance or examination passes) are compulsory requirements for those who wish to retain their license as life insurance intermediaries after two years of contract. Being widely recognized in the financial services sector, which comprises banking, insurance and investment services, RFP is a beneficial qualification to supplement a degree if one wishes to enter the sector. Those who passed two modules (Module 1 + another module) may apply for the Affiliate RFP designation, which is one of the required qualifications to work in a financial advisory company as a financial advisor representative. To our knowledge, these undergraduates are the first group of UTAR students who have attempted and passed these RFP modules while undergoing their degree programme.
