43 employers in KL career day

The career day, organised by the Department of Alumni Relations and Placement, held at UTAR Kuala Lumpur Campus on 27 February 2013, was participated by 43 companies, the prospective employers of future UTAR graduates.

Due to the overwhelming response, two venues were used to accommodate the counters set up by the participating companies. The companies were:

On that day, representatives from the companies arrived as early as 8.00am to set up their counters and brought along laptops, buntings, leaflets, brochures and door gifts. At 9.00am, when the event started, hundreds of students began to swarm in, properly attired with their résumés ready for walk-in interviews. Eight companies provided career talks to promote the career prospects of their companies and industries.

'It was a well-organised event which we will look forward to [participate again] in the future,' said Shaun Leong, Director for Talent Search & Development of EXEC Asia Consulting Sdn Bhd, commending the Department of Alumni Relations and Placement for doing a good job. Some participating companies had indicated their interest to hold career talks in UTAR in the near future.
