KL-Perak Career Workshop

Presenter was briefing on proper attire for interview in Kuala Lumpur

UTAR Department of Student Affairs, Department of Soft Skills Competency, and Department of Alumni Relations and Placement came up with a new idea holding a joint career workshop between Kuala Lumpur Campus and Perak Campus. The career workshop aimed to prepared students and alumni before they venture into the job market.

Invited speakers for the workshop included not only UTAR academic and administrative staff, but also public image consultants. They provided valuable tips on professional résumé writing, application letter, proper attire and mental preparation before the interview proper, character analysis and choosing the right career.

A speaker session in Perak Campus

The session on 'Tips and Ways to Become Entrepreneur' held in Kuala Lumpur Campus was live-telecast to Perak Campus. The session provided information on the difference between businessman and entrepreneur, government and UTAR grants, UTAR Young Entrepreneur Start-Up Scheme and the various pros and cons of becoming an entrepreneur.
