Joyce: I follow my dad's footstep

                                        

                                    

Joyce Tan Yoke Tieng

            August 2010, BACHELOR OF COMMERCE(HONS) ACCOUNTING

Since my school days until university, I had been actively involved in a lot of activities such as Wushu night, musical night, UTAR Convocation musical Interlude and those in badminton club.

After my brief four-year stint studying Accounting in UTAR and gaining some exposure of the business world, I set up my own company called Blossom Entertainment with a close-kit team of 15 persons, following the legacy of my father who has been in the entertainment industry for more than 40 years.

Since I was young, I was blessed with the talent to sing and dance. And coming from a musical family with my father as an accomplished saxophonist and my mother, a band singer, it is only a natural progression for me to make my own mark in the world of entertainment not only in singing and dancing but also emceeing.

The job as an emcee in Blossom Entertainment has brought to places not only in Malaysia but also Singapore and Indonesia, hosting events such as product launching, wedding dinner, corporate dinner, award ceremony and beauty pageant.

Blossom Entertainment provides total solutions to event hosting.  Besides having its own troupe of dancers and sound and lights equipment, it also handles emceeing, backdrop design, venue decoration and artiste management.  

I am proud to be a Utarian! I offer my special thanks to Prof Chuah and all the lecturers in UTAR for their invaluable guidance and encouragement.
