My first convocation with UTAR was back in August 2008, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Social Science (Hons) Psychology. I had not slowed down since and pursued my Master of Business Administration (Hons), also at UTAR. Four years later, I am a two-time proud graduate of my alma mater at its March 2014 Convocation.

The second convocation felt better than the first one, mainly because two of my superiors were there to witness me receiving my scroll. They showered me with encouraging words and a bouquet of full-bloomed flowers. Their kind gesture really touched my heart. It was the first time I felt so accomplished, motivated and appreciated in life.

Receiving my Master's scroll which is green in colour, memories of my first convocation was instantly re-ignited. I remember that red was the colour of degree scroll. I hope that sooner or later, I will be able to add a third and possibly last scroll to my list of academic achievements. This time, I will be aiming for the purple-coloured PhD scroll and the Dr of Philosophy title that comes along with it.

Last but not least, I would want to thank UTAR for giving me an opportunity to pursue lifelong quality education. It has certainly transformed my life in many ways imaginable and brought about betterments to my family, colleagues and society. UTAR, jia you (add oil)!
