TWO CAREER WORKSHOPS IN MARCH 2015

Again, Department of Alumni Relations and Placement, Department of Student Affairs, Department of  Consultancy & Commercialization and Department of Soft Skills & Competency organised the UTAR Career Workshop on 21 & 28 March 2015, for Kuala Lumpur & Perak Campus respectively. It was aimed at preparing students and alumni for UTAR Career Day and their ventures into the job markets after graduation.

Speakers invited to the workshop are comprised administrative staff from UTAR. They provided valuable tips on professional resume writing, application letter, proper attire, mental preparation before attending an interview, character analysis and choosing the right career path.

'Tips For Interview & Resume Writing and Dress Code' was the first session where students learned the know-how on the subjects concerned.

The 'Tip and Ways to Become Entrepreneur' session provided information on the difference between business and entrepreneur, government and UTAR grants, UTAR Young Entrepreneur Start-Up Scheme and the various pros and cons of becoming an entrepreneur.

The last session was the 'Career Exploration & Self-Assessment' session conducted by UTAR counsellors. This session enabled participants to discover their characteristics and make the right career choices.

UTAR Counselors were giving the talk on choosing the right career choice
