TEA MEETING WITH UTAR PRESIDENT KAMPAR CAMPUS FOR GRADUATING STUDENTS PENDING MARCH 2018 CONVOCATION

Department of Alumni Relations and Placement (DARP) Kampar had organised Tea Meeting with UTAR President on 22 November 2017 in Kampar Campus.

Ir. Prof. Academician Dato' Dr. Chuah Hean Teik, the President of UTAR was invited to the event. The President congratulated the graduating students who were pending for March 2018 Convocation and provided advice that would help them as they prepare to journey towards their career and future undertakings.

Also present at the tea meeting were Faculty of Arts and Social Science Dean Dr Alia Azalea, Institute of Chinese Studies (ICS) Deputy Dean for Student Development and Industrial Training Dr Ling Liong Ngo representing ICS Dean Assoc Prof Dr Chong Siou Wei and DARP Head Foo Wai Wai.

Prof Chuah then highlighted the roles of alumni are to improve the University and its ranking continuously, always carry UTAR flag in the industry, increase productivity, compete in the global market and keep abreast with technology. He also added that successful alumni indicate the success of UTAR and it is the form of feedback that student can give back to the University.

After Prof Chuah concluded his speech, there was refreshment session. There was a short briefing conducted by DSA Kampar staff regarding convocation after the refreshment session finished.

DARP, DPP and DSSC also have set up information counters to assist the graduating students on some inquiries.

The tea meeting ended at 12.30pm as scheduled.
