Ir Prof Ts Dr Jeffrey Yap is a distinguished project management academic in the built environment at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), Malaysia. He earned his PhD in Project Management from the International University of Malaya-Wales (IUMW) as Valedictorian and Best Student Award recipient, and also holds an MSc in Construction Management and a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil Engineering). With senior experience in leading property development firms and as an international design engineer, he is a registered Professional Engineer (PEng), Professional Technologist (PTech), and a PMP®-certified project management professional.
Bridging academia and industry, Jeffrey specialises in project management, sustainable development, and knowledge management. He is also a seasoned professional trainer, having conducted numerous project management and PMP® certification trainings - both in-house and public - empowering professionals with practical, industry-ready skills.
An active researcher and international collaborator, Jeffrey has published over 90 scholarly articles and received honours such as the Emerald Literati Outstanding Paper Award and the Best Paper Award at international conferences, cementing his reputation as a leading voice in construction and real estate innovation. His career reflects a strong commitment to excellence, industry relevance, and impactful knowledge transfer.
