The present invention provides a magnetic field applicator for treatment of cancer, the applicator comprising a magnetic yoke having opposite poles; a pair of detached distributed magnetic coils for the production of magnetic field wherein the coils are paired to realize a magnetic field beam forming; a pair of deflector plates at the poles of the magnetic yoke for reducing pole peaks; wherein the deflector plates are placed such that the magnetic field is focused.
