Students work with students from other education institution to conduct research in these villages. UTAR had worked with students and staff from Universiti Pendidikam Sultan Idris in Tanjung Malim to educate villagers on the disposal of wastes as well as students of the National University Singapore to study the community needs and assets of these new villages. The activities of this New Village Project have inspired universities both locally and abroad to engage in collaborative projects.
