Dr. Kuan Seng How is currently serving as an assistant professor at the Lee Kong Chian Faculty of Engineering and Science, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), Malaysia. He studied at McGill University in Montreal, Canada where he graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering (Materials) in 2007, a Master of Engineering (Materials) in 2009 and a Doctor of Philosophy (Materials Engineering) in 2013. He has worked as a process engineer (metallurgist) and consultant in the mining industry. His recent research areas involve sustainable processes such as bioleaching of economic minerals using bacteria, comparative study of plastic recycling in Japan and Malaysia, and sustainable nickel in electric vehicle applications. Dr. Kuan is a Chartered Engineer (CEng) with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) and a Professional Engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
