Of all the functions in an organization, marketing is known to provide leadership to its peers. Marketing not only do the selling, but 'market' the organization in addition to its products and services.  Marketing is to challenge the norm, to think of the unconventional and most of all to create value for the consumer and society. Having said that, marketing should not be out of this world either, marketing is about ensuring the success and profitability of the company. Marketing is also about setting and executing the right strategy for the organization.
