The Final Year Project, or FYP, is a substantial part of every students' final year of study, and a requirement for graduation. Students are required to produce a single piece of their own research by using all the skills and experiences they have acquired throughout their years of studies.
The FYP often involves critical research and creative thinking. Students have to research a topic of interest, devise their own problems, propose solutions or conclusions, and then evaluate their conclusions. This process often takes several semesters, and will require rigourous and consistent effort by the students to find up-to-date information, and to consult with their advisors.
