ICS Community Activity – SJK C Jeram Fund Raising Activity on 12.11.2017

社区活动– 也南华小《爱心献也南》义卖会

A total of 41 students and 3 FGO staff from ICS involved in the SJK C Jeram Fund Raising activity organised by SJK C Jeram on 12.11.2017, 7.00am - 1.30pm. This activity aimed to spark continuous interactions between UTAR ICS and the community, and to uphold the spirit of serving-learning among UTAR ICS students with further hope that it will encourage more volunteer services/contributions from students to the community after graduation. There were 38 booths set up selling foods, beverages, books, souvenir, plants, vegetables, Chinese calligraphy, electronic products and health care products. There were also body painting arts class and game stations for visitors. ICS students were assigned to different booths. It was a very good experience for them to explore and learn communication skills and team spirit throughout the activity. More than 2000 people from local and nearby villages supported the activity. SJK C Jeram managed to raise more than RM30,000 for their classrooms renovation fees. ICS students and staff found it was a meaningful activity and would like to participate in the similar activities in future.
