In line with the University’s Mission, Institute of Chinese Studies (ICS) will organize its Community Service Project cum Cultural Trip on 23 January 2016. The objectives of the event are to spark continuous interactions between UTAR ICS and the community; and to uphold the spirit of serving-learning among UTAR ICS students with further hope that it will encourage more volunteer services/contributions from students to the community after graduation.
About 40 ICS staff and students will pay a visit to Bao En Shi (Old Folk’s Home) and Orphanage Anning in Ipoh, Perak. Students who are interested to participate in this event may register your name at ICS FGO during office hours. Registration is on first-come-first-served basis.
Apart from interaction with residents of both charity organizations, we will bring some donations (daily need items) to them. Staff/students who wish to contribute donations to the said organizations may register your donation(s) at the following link:
