'No To War' T-Shirts Snapped Up At UTAR

Some 60 students and lecturers of Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) snapped up The Star's 'Say No to War' T-shirts in a two-hour sale at the campus here.

UTAR's student affairs manager Tian Peak Lim said the students were enthusiastic about and supported the peace campaign.

Cheok Chiou Wei, an accounting student, said that war would not solve problems and should be settled in a diplomatic way.

Lecturer Low Chin Kiang said that buying the T-shirts and wearing them to spread the message of peace was another way of saying no to war.
