Rousing the lion

Deputy Higher Education Minister Dr Hou Kok Chung dotting a lion's eye during his visit to the Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (Utar) campus in Kampar.

The lion head and Chinese drums were made available by the ministry to Utar's Wushu Association through a RM7,000 allocation which also benefited the Asian Cultural Society, Chinese Language Society, International Friendship Society and Japanese Culture Club of Utar.

Dr Hou expressed hope that the allocation would enable more cultural and co-curricular activities to be organised on campus.
