Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Mohamed Khir Toyo has commended Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman student Yanti Heryanti Puteri Emrizal Bujang for enrolling in the country's newest university, which was officially opened by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad on Monday.

"I wish to congratulate Yanti for her spirit and farsightedness in deciding to continue her tertiary education at UTAR. I am proud of her broadmindedness and positive attitude," he said.

Dr Khir urged more Malay students to emulate Yanti, who is the sole Malay student in UTAR, adding that he welcomed the people made by MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Ling Liong Sik to enroll more Malay students
