'Train students to be all-rounders'

Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) should train its students to be all-rounders in order to be competitive said the University's Prof Dr Tu Wei Ming yesterday while visiting the university's Kampar site for the first time.

Noting the rapid development of the university, Prof Tu said the first batch of students to graduate at the temporary campus in Petaling Jaya next year was a reflection of a lot of hard work on the part of many people including that of the university Council Chairman Tun Dr Ling Liong Sik and its President and CEO Tan Sri Datuk Dr Ng Lay Swee.

"The Government, local leaders and the community should also be commended for their part in making UTAR a reality," said Prof Tu.
