UTAR Launches Master's Degrees

Saturday, 3 December 2005, marks another milestone in the annals of UTAR.

YABhg Tun Dr Ling Liong Sik, Chairman of UTAR Council launched the first five of the University's Masters' degree programmes. The ceremony was witnessed by UTAR's President, Trustees, Council members, industry and institutional partners, Adjunct faculty, KTAR and UTAR alumni, representatives from community and business associations and potential applicants of the Master's degree programmes.

As YBhg Tan Sri Datuk Dr Ng Lay Swee said in her welcome speech, the launching of the Master's degree programmes in UTAR is, indeed, a milestone and a natural extension of the expanding undergraduate programmes now offered by the University."

After the launching ceremony, the guests and visitors were invited to a tour of the facilities for the post-graduate studies.

Enquiries on the Master's degrees on that day itself was encouraging with already a few applications having been submitted.
