UTAR Needs Up To RM1 Billion Over Next 5-10 years

University Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) has to raise between RM500 million and RM1 billion for its development over the next five to 10 year, MCA president Dato' Seri Dr Ling Liong Sik said today. "I don't know how much of it will actually be spent, but judging from how local universities are built we have to raise anything from RM500 million to RM1 billion," he said.

He said " It is challenging when you think about RM1 billion. Sometimes it is a bit frightening, but with the cooperation of all, as we have done in the past with the Tun Abdul Rahman (TAR) college, we can do it."

Dr Ling said he was optimistic that there were a many generous people who were interested to come forward and contribute to ensure UTAR's success.
