MCA To Raise Funds For UTAR Campus In Kampar

Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) will have a major campus in Kampar, Perak, said MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Ling Liong Sik. "We will go on a fund-raising campaign and then we will start building it," he said.

In June, Perak MCA chairman Datuk Ong Ka Chuan said Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohd Tajol Rosli Ghazali had agreed to consider giving 120ha more in addition to the earlier 400ha given by the state in Kampar for UTAR.

He said UTAR would expand just like Tunku Abdul Rahman College which now has about 30,000 students in its campuses in Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Kampar, Pahang, Johor and Sabah.
