Dr Lee Voon Hsien is a Professor in the Faculty of Business and Finance, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, Malaysia. Her current research work focuses on operations management, supply chain management, mobile technology and information systems. She is currently the Chairperson for the Centre for Business and Management at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman. 

Dr Lee has authored and co-authored in more than 70 papers, many of which are indexed to the Web of Science (SSCI/SCI/SCIE) by Clarivate Analytics. Her current Google Scholar Citation H-index is 45; Scopus H-index = 38; Clarivate Analytics-Web of Science H-Index = 34. Dr Lee’s publications are seen in top-ranked journals such as International Journal of Production Research, International Journal of Production Economics, Supply Chain Management: An International Journal, Business Strategy and The Environment, R&D Management, Information System Frontier, International Journal of Information Management, Information & Management, Computers & Education, Tourism Management, Internet Research, Technological Forecasting & Social Change, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, Production Planning and Control, among others.

Dr. Lee has an impressive record of scholarly accomplishments, including numerous awards such as Most Cited Papers, Top Cited Articles, Best Paper Awards, Honourable Mention Award, Most Downloaded Articles, and Most Read Article. She has also received Letters of Congratulations from the President of UTAR and a Certificate of Excellence in 2017 for her outstanding teaching contributions. In 2018, Dr. Lee was honored with the National Outstanding Educator Award, and in 2021, she received the National Outstanding Young Researcher Award from Koperasi Pendidikan Swasta Malaysia Berhad, as part of the Private Education Excellence Awards. In recognition of her impactful research, Dr. Lee has also been ranked among the World’s Top 2% Scientists 2024 (Single Recent Year) by Stanford University. Additionally, Dr. Lee is listed among the Top 10 Business and Management Scientists in Malaysia by Research.com, further underscoring her influence and dedication within the field.

Dr. Lee is currently an Editorial Board member for the Industrial Management & Data Systems (Emerald, SCIE), the International Journal of Modelling in Operations Management (IJMOM), and was one of the Guest Editors for a special issue in IJMOM in 2016. Previously she had served as an Associate Editor for Expert Systems with Applications (2021) (Elsevier, SCIE). Dr Lee also serves as a reviewer for several international journals from renowned publishers such as Emerald, Elsevier, Taylor and Francis, Wiley, and Sage.

Dr. Lee has been awarded numerous prestigious national and international competitive grants, including the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)’s Centre of Excellence Southeast Asia Research Grant for Malaysian SMEs, the UCSI University Pioneer Scientist Incentive Fund (PSIF), the UCSI University Research Excellence & Innovation Grant (REIG), and the UTAR Research Fund (UTARRF). She also actively participated in a Research Collaboration with Kasetsart University (Bangkok, Thailand) for a government project in 2020. This project aimed to enhance the learning and development opportunities for underprivileged students through the application of Design Thinking methodologies.
