The University encourages its academic staff members to present papers on their research findings at international conferences.    Participation at conferences enables the staff member to stay up-to-date with the developments in their research area  which will enhance their teaching and research in the University and provides opportunities for networking and collaboration with other experts in their research area.

Academic staff members who have papers accepted for presentation at a conference may apply for sponsorship from the university to attend the conference held locally or overseas which is subjected to the application meeting the criteria for sponsorship stated in the Policy on Sponsorship to Attend Training and Conference.

Staff members who wish to attend a conference on self-funding basis may be granted conference leave.
