Rules & Regulations for the Use of Aerobic/Dancing Room
1. Bookings have to be made on prescribed form i.e. "Application for Use of Aerobic/Dancing Room".
2. Bookings have to be made NOT more than 1 month in advance i.e. date(s) of use must be within one month from the booking date.
3. Booking with 5 users or less is to share the room with other patrons, if such arises.
4. All bookings will only be confirmed upon payment made.
5. Payment is to be made in accordance to the approved rates by the management.
6. Application is not transferable.
7. DSA-Sports & Recreation Unit reserves the right to reject any applications.
8. Late arrival of more than 30 minutes on date of use will be considered booking cancelled and DSA-Sports & Recreation Unit (S&R) reserves the right to rent the room to other patrons unless S&R is informed of the late arrival by the applicant before or within the grace of 30 minutes given. No refund or replacement is entertained for the cancellation.
9. On arrival, the applicant must sign in at the reception desk, indicating details of the group (number of people and time of arrival) and do the same procedure on vacating.
10. The applicant shall ensure that the room is used by the organization he/she represents and only for the purpose stated in this application.
11. No foreign object is to be affixed on the floor, wall or mirror or any part of the Aerobic/Dancing Room. Items used/worn that will damage the flooring are deemed inappropriate. Any costs incurred by the University in repairing the damages will be borne by the applicant.
12. No food is to be consumed in the Aerobic/Dancing Room. Beverages consumed must be in a container with a lid. Any spill must be cleaned immediately.
13. No smoking or alcohol is allowed.
14. All users must be properly attired. The management & gym staff on duty reserve the right to decide on the suitability of the attire worn by the users.
15. All users must behave appropriately. Users may be asked to leave the premises if their behavior is deemed inappropriate.
16. All users must vacate the premises promptly at the end of the allotted time.
17. All furniture and equipment moved by prior arrangement is to be restored to their original position at the end of the period of usage.
18. The applicant shall ensure that the room is cleaned up after use. Litter and property belonging to the users are to be removed at the end of the period of usage. Any costs incurred by the University in removing these items will be paid by the applicant.
19. The applicant shall be responsible for any damage of the fixtures of room and/or loss of equipment.
20. DSA-Sports & Recreation Unit reserves the right to cancel the booking of or close any part of the room for official functions. The applicant shall be notified of the cancellation/closure.
21. UTAR, its agents, volunteers and staff is not liable for any mishap, injury, illness, death, damage or loss howsoever caused.
22. Users agree to abide by any other rules and regulations as laid down by the University from time to time.
23. UTAR reserves the right to amend the above rules and regulations without giving prior notice.
