In addition to the Human Resource Policies and Regulations and any Terms and Conditions specifically stated in the staff's letter of appointment, staff are required:-
(a) To devote his time and attention to the duties and responsibilities assigned to him while maintaining a consistently high standard of work and duty of care.
(b) To uphold a high standard of personal conduct and to maintain the good name or reputation of the University and his profession.
(c) To discharge his duties with honesty, integrity and diligence, while complying with all reasonable instructions and co-operating with his colleagues and superiors.
(d) To acquire new knowledge, skills and apply judgment to the best of his ability to continuously improve his functional and behavioral competencies.
(e) To ensure that his private interest does not come into conflict with his duties, use his positions for his private advantage or lay himself open to suspicion of dishonesty and corruption.
(f) To be courteous and respectful when interacting with colleagues, students and the public.
(g) To refrain from unauthorised usage or tampering with University equipment or facilities or possession of prohibited substance or weapons.
(h) To dress in smart, respectful and formal attire suitable for a university environment.
(i) To wear staff identification tag at all times within the vicinity of the University.
(j) To cooperate when required by University authorities to assist in safety and security inspection and/or investigation. The University reserves the right to:-
(a) search all staff and their vehicle leaving or entering the premises and to inspect any parcel, handbag, briefcase and any items which is not covered by this clause.
(b) conduct a body search on staff in the event of any report of loss or as and when required within the University premises.
(k) To immediately update the University of any changes in his personal particulars.
(l) To adhere to all prevailing procedures and guidelines of the University.
