UTAR expects all its staff members to excel to their full potential and contribute excellently for the realization of the vision and mission of the university.  Thus, target setting is a vital element of the university's strategy planning for performance management.

 

The University has set out measurable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and criteria for appointment, confirmation and promotion for the various posts to steer the entire University community to move towards a performance based management.  These performance criteria provide a clear basis from which the University can set yearly quantitative targets for faculties/divisions/departments and individual staff's performance improvement.
